[ Weiss opened the door, peeking in first before she stepped forward, lightly nudging Frost with her heel so he knew he could go. She was working on training him, but it was still iffy sometimes. Especially with Ruby around..
Still, seeing Adam like that, it was obvious she was missing something. ]
This might seem weird of me to ask, but are you okay?
[adam didn't even look over at her. he hadn't slept for days, his eyes were red and bags were underneath them. he blinked, sighed lightly before rubbing his eyes.
he wanted to tell her... even if he didn't know why he was putting his trust in her.]
...I've been better. [yup.] There have been... some changes lately, in a lot of ways.
[he didn't even want to bring it up again. it was so painful to think about, so... so stupid as well.
but then he felt frost jump up on him, and he just glanced down at the dog. he didn't do anything else, he simply stared at him for a few moments before actually petting him.]
...Do you recall how we... 'saved' ... Orihime? Well, that was incorrect. She wanted to stay there with him... she wanted to be around Lucifer... and the best part?
[he frowned further, feeling the anger coursing through him once more.]
..She told me he visited her in the hospital, when I told her not to go near that... dangerous man again. But she told me that he kissed her-... and... she... [he groaned.] She kissed him back.
[and that wasn't the worst part.] I was so mad... I was furious at the thought of ... going for that... that man. She completely ruined my trust, in what I told her- and my trust in herself completely. I stormed out... and had a talk with Blake about it too....
I just... don't know how to think right now, is all.
[ Weiss thinks about what he says for a moment. She knows nothing's as simple as black and white and she's not trying to solve his problems, nor does she think she can, but she can certainly come to her own conclusion about Orihime. Between the fact that she kept on believing in Adam, then now this with Lucifer.. ]
Considering he was very clearly taunting you about Orihime and apparently not even holding her hostage, he obviously just wanted to hurt you. Between that and his threats over the Guardian position, he's clearly not interested in changing or becoming a better person, which means that girl has no problem kissing a monster like Lucifer. The only real reasons for that are either she's stupid, she thinks she can "fix" everyone, or she's got a thing for danger and.. [ What's a good word that isn't 'bad guy' since she doesn't want to call Adam that.. ] Immoral behavior and you just weren't good enough for her once she saw Lucifer. None of those are good reasons; I wouldn't trust her either.
[adam listened silently to her, scratching frost's head in the meantime. he didn't say anything as she spoke, he just stared up at the ceiling and contemplated her words. he knew that lucifer was a monster.... but he figured, so was he. and he hated that man more than ever when he thought about how similar they were.]
...Then.. while talking about it with Blake... [he did like what weiss had been saying, but he just kept on with his story without acknowledging her words.]
In the heat of the moment- we both let it out that we had loved one another. [he paused, swallowing thickly and closing his eyes again.]
She used to love me, but I'm still in love with her. However... her being with someone else is better, much better, and I've accepted that- but everything at once it all just....
It just hurt. It had hurt- but I haven't felt anything for days now.
Weiss had been in the middle of undoing the leash from Frost when he admitted to his and Blake's.. situation. One that Weiss still hadn't quite even come to terms with. She didn't know much about Blake and Adam's life before Genessia, and she hadn't asked. She'd said that Blake's past was in the past, but lately it seemed like it just kept coming up. And now she was being told things she couldn't even ask Blake about, since she was sure she wasn't supposed to actually know them.
Adam was putting her in an odd position. She hadn't expected him to be open to her, at all, and now she was being told things like one of her closest friends and... Adam (she wasn't even sure what he was anymore without the White Fang-- they weren't enemies anymore, but they were hardly friends). ]
I'm sorry that you got hurt, by Orihime and by Blake, and I think you're right. Sun is good for Blake and he cares about her, a lot. So even if it hurt, I'm glad you made the right decision, but I don't think it's a good thing if you stop feeling altogether. Shutting yourself down isn't any good. Even if it's anger, it's better than nothing-- as long as you promise not to go around killing anyone.

She'd originally intended to ask him something entirely different, but it seemed out of place now. She was a crabby person, someone who most people didn't get along with the first time they spoke with her, but she at least knew not to start demanding things while someone else needed their time to talk. ]
You're a misguided faunus who wants to be respected but can't trust humans because of people like my father and Orihime. You've done a lot of bad things, but you haven't done them since you got here, and you're willing to work toward solving problems together, even if that meant working with me. I don't think it's that you don't belong here, it might just be that you haven't found a place yet.

I don't know you very well, but that's what I know so far and if Blake used to love you, then you can't be that terrible of a person at your core, no matter what terrible things you've done in the past. Blake has better taste than that.

Just in case you do decide to forget something in the future, not that I'm endorsing it, you'll probably save yourself some trouble if you just open up an archway to somewhere instead of getting yourself killed.

[he raised an eyebrow at that, looking a little confused. but... she did seem to really want that, and she went right to him of all people in order to get stronger. she had plenty of others she could ask- so he found it odd to confront him about this.

I'm going to school to become a huntress, I'm not going to have my life handed to me on a silver platter. If I can't handle everything you can put me through, I can't handle what I'll need to eventually. So I will manage- especially if I can't tell my team about Mercury.
