[rarely, but he has been eating at least. adam looked away from her, not really wanting to speak much anymore.... but then he heard her ask how he was doing. he still had his mask on now, and it was obvious that he was going back to being overly quiet, anti-social, and just wanting to get his own mission done for his own sake.
yes, he was going back to being a monster indeed.]
Fine. [he frowned further.] ...it was the strangest thing, Weiss visited me the other day and asked me to train her. And the strangest par is I agreed to help her.
[too weird. he sighed.] So, if you are ever needing to hone your skills again, I suppose I'm doing sparring sessions now. Don't worry, I'm not using Dust. I have far too low of a supply as it is, and I don't want to run out.
[even if he does have it embedded in his clothes, in himself.]
[And Weiss didn't tell her that at all... She blinked only to glance away in thought. Of course, leave it to the real princess to calm him. But at the mention of sparring- it was something she should probably do to keep her skills up. She shouldn't really spend her time in the library and get rusty completely.
Giving a small nod at that, she stepped back away from him again, at least giving him his space.]
Mm, I'll keep that in mind then. [She would at least. Following through with it? That would be another thing...] I'll just uh- leave you to your food then.
well, he knew it was all she had ever done, and he had come to accept that she did that whenever she felt remotely uncomfortable. adam sighed, then he looked down and rummaged through the bag.]
Want to come inside? [she was still free to leave if she wanted, but he did want to establish a relationship with her again. she would be allowed to stay with him if she ever wanted or leave if she wanted. he was still in love with her, and he still wanted her to be okay. he just wanted to ask her what was wrong, but he doubted she would tell him.]
[As much as she wanted to her own thoughts were being her worst enemy again. Thoughts she lost the right to have.
She gave a small smile and shook her head.] Thank you but I should probably get back before it gets too late out.
[Which, was true. She at least wanted to get back before Frost decided it was okay to take her room and she had to sleep on the fridge top again.] Just make sure to eat this time.
[he nodded just a little at her words, understanding that she just wanted to leave. but he still didn't understand- if she kept wanting to run away, why did she keep coming to find him? why did she keep leaving him food and checking in on him?
he knew, of course. she obviously cared immensely about him still, but it seemed as though it was too hard to get back into any sort of proper rhythm again.]
..What's the matter, Blake? [he stared down at her from behind his mask, his frown deepening.]
Of course- you don't have to tell me anything. [by now, he's expecting it. she used to tell him everything, but now she's shut him out entirely with most things.]
[Getting either of them to say what was really on their minds was the most difficult thing in the world even after they confessed everything in the forest. It seemed those boundaries were up again and they were guarding themselves from one another.
But- maybe that was for the best. If Weiss could help him feel normal again then that was for the best. Her own presence there would just make things worse.
Shaking her head with another small smile to try and throw off his worry, she held up her hands.] It's nothing to worry over. You have enough going on that you need to focus on you. Take care of yourself first.
[...alright, she was still hurting- and she was still bothered, but she refused to tell him. that's fine, if she wanted to be that way then so be it.
adam grunted in response and nodded at her. he held up her bag a little as he spoke.]
Thank you for this, really. [she knew how bad he was at remembering to take proper care of himself. he would make a mental note to come and check up on her sometimes in the library too, if she would ever allow that of him.]
Go on back then, Blake. Your friends are probably waiting for you. [and sun, too.]
[With another small nod she watched him for a moment before taking another step back. It was hard to tell when another goodbye would lead to one of them never seeing one another again. Then again, it was probably something she deserved after what she had done back on the train car.
It still didn't make it hurt any less or the fear subside at the thought of leaving only to never see one another again.
She glanced up at the slits in his mask where she thought his eyes would be for a moment before casting her look back down. Unsure of what to even say no, she gave a small wave and turned to leave back down the hallway.]
